Interested in becoming a Certified Lease Auditor? 


The CLA designation is awarded only to those individuals who are specialized in lease auditing and invited by the association into the membership of the Association of Canadian Lease Auditors.
 

 

In order for the association to consider sending out an invitation, you must:

 

1. Education Requirement

  • Hold a bachelor degree in any subject plus a professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CGA, CMA) that is recognized by the Association; OR

  • Hold a LLB degree (or equivalent) and are practicing law in the province or territory that you work; OR

  • Hold a postgraduate degree in real estate that is accredited or recognized by ACLA; OR

  • Hold a bachelor degree in any subject plus a real estate designation that is accredited or recognized by ACLA; OR

  • Hold a bachelor degree in any subject plus a real estate specialization certificate that is accredited or recognized by ACLA.

AND

2. Lease audit experience

  • Have at least ten years experience as a lease auditor; or actively engaged in lease audit for at least 50% of your workload, as defined by ACLA.
